Il est normale. Chaque semestre, Je retourne à l’école et être très occupé avec les classes. Cependant, j’ai toujours réussi à trouver le temps de s’amuser avec des amis.
Since school started, I’ve celebrated two of my friends’ birthdays, met some of the International Students here on campus, gone to 3 home football games, had family (Dominique, Jason, and Kelly) come for Parents Weekend, go on the sidelines for a game, and participate in my yearly extreme physical challenge (last year: USC Octathlon. this year: US Marine Corps Mud Run)!

Fall Break is 2 weeks marking the middle of the semester!
Dobrý den! Il y a les grandes nouvelles!!!! Next semester, I will be studying abroad in Prague, Czech Republic with CEA Global Education! I’ll be there the entire semester form February 3- May 24. Can’t wait! The next European adventures of the EU girl are heading east! Čau!
Mám se dobře, děkuji. (I’m fine. Thank you!)
Ahoy! Definitely starting to sound different from “Bonjour!”
Today marks the beginning of my 3 week countdown to the end of the semester. TIme has flown away, and I can’t believe Thanksgiving is in 4 days. Unfortunately, I have a terrible cold, but with all the projects going on, I’m not too surprised that my body caved somewhere.
Last week, I went to the pre-departure orientation for study abroad! Though 3 hours long, extremely boring, and not too very educational for those who have been abroad before, it did successfully get me very excited for next semester in Prague! My flights are set, and I leave February 2nd returning May 24th. (That’s right, basically a 2 month Christmas break!) Also, I applied for a grant through the Study Abroad Office to make a 30 minutes documentary of my time in Prague! I’ll know by the 29th if I got it…
In Gamecock news, the USC Football team destroyed Troy today 69-24 after a huge win against Florida last week making us the SEC East Champions! (1st time in school history) Now we’re taking on the orange teams next week (Clemson) and the following week for the SEC Championship (Auburn)! I also finally got to hold Sir Big Spur…

In Entertainment news, Harry Potter VII part I came out this week, and my friends and I were part of the massive group that saw the midnight premiere! It was great! Only one more left… so go see it.

I’ll be heading home for Thanksgiving on Tuesday! Can’t wait… Look forward to pics of food. Classic.
And be sure to Czech out my friend’s blogs…
India…currently in Brasil
Jennie…will be in Éire (Ireland)
Molly…will be in México then Perú
Megan… will be in Schweiz (in German just for you Megan) ou la Suisse if you prefer in French (Switzerland)
So the countdown is on! Officially 2 weeks until I jet off to Prague on February 2! Things are starting to line up. Heavy coat? Check. Waterproof, Shearling lined Boots? Check. The last big thing I was waiting for came via e-mail 2 days ago…my housing assignment.
I’ll be living on the 5th Floor of a descent apartment building on Janackovo Nabrezi in Prague 5. Quite the street address eh?

So what’s the catch? 8 other girls will be in my apartment! From researching, it looks like the building’s biggest apartments have 3 rooms. (Room with 3 Beds= třílůžkový pokoj) So if my math isn’t completely gone after this amazing break at home, that means 3 people per room! Welcome to Real World Prague! haha
A little daunting, but should be fun? interesting? What do you think?
Also, from reading the other assignments, most of the other apartments in this building are filled with students in my program and several people are in different places around the city. Looks like a total of around 90 something girls and 100 something guys. Pretty even. My roommates span the US from California to Maryland!
So what’s left to do? Of course figure out packing, read up some more, attempt to learn at least a few Czech words, order some money, and any other odds and ends!
Hezký den! (Have a nice day!)
