Technically, classes began today; however…I only have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays! Tomorrow morning, instead of going to my first class at 8:15, I have to go to Czech Foreign Police (A little serious sounding!) to register my Visa. They require that students go within 3 business days or something of arrival to get the Student Visa stamped, so we have an appointment at 10:30 tomorrow. Since this is during my first class, we are excused. So…only 1 class tomorrow at 2:45!
What’d we do with our free day? Well, I passed on watching the Superbowl last night for finally, a good night of sleep. Felt. Amazing. Done. :) Around lunchtime, I took the tram down to school with a couple friends (Meagan and Jillian) and met one of Jillian’s friend and his roommates. We grabbed some lunch at a cute Cafe not far from school called Carmelita. I had a great Spinach/Chicken pizza and got the leftovers of course. Too good.

From there, Meagan and I, being to “good with map people” according to the others, showed them the love locks and Lennon Wall. We then walked back across the Charles Bridge (Never ceases to amaze) and back up through the Jewish Quarter towards the Čechův most. We continued across the bridge, and Meagan explained the knitted wraps on the light posts. Supposedly, it’s called Urban Knitting or Anti-Graffiti because it’s decorative without destroying the original structure. Continuing, we walked up lots of stairs to a Metronome erected in 1991 in a location where a statue of Stalin once stood.

Behind the Metronome, there’s a huge skatepark (we didn’t know this before walking up there). According to the Internet (so handy isn’t it? haha), skaters from around the world congregate here. I couldn’t resist taking some pics, and they were pretty good. Plus, the graffiti was pretty cool. See the previous post for some of that!

Missing Internet Marketing in the morning, I’ll have Human Resource Management in the afternoon. Look forward to info about my first day of school and classes! CLICK for more pics!

The time has come. Tomorrow morning, I leave to go back to school for the Fall 2011 Semester. How did this happen? It seems that just yesterday, I was packing one suitcase to jet off to Prague, and now I’m packing a car to fill a dorm room!
On the way, my Mom and I are making a pit stop in Georgetown, KY to visit my sister, then I’ll be off to Columbia, SC. Classes don’t start till next Thursday, so I’m looking forward to catching up with my friends!
In our 4 years at USC, we’ve studied abroad in… (no side trips included)
So many places…so many stories.
